How to Use Product:

            Mender Helper  (blue liquid)

First apply as a wetting agent on either greenware or bisqueware until area is thoroughly wet and the Easy-Do Mender Helper has soaked in.

              Easy-Do Mender  (slip-like mixture)

Using a clean brush, dip into Easy-Do Mender and apply to each edge of broken area.  While still wet, stick broken edges together and hold or support for at least 30 seconds.  Set mended pieces aside to dry.  Clean or sand the mended piece as you would any piece of greenware or bisqueware.  When you are satisfied with the mend, refire to cone 04.  Decorate as you like; the mend will not show.

Large Items

Easy-Do Mender has no limits.  It will bond any ceramic article (bird wings, horse tails or legs, etc.).

Flowers

Flowers are easily made with the addition of Easy-Do Mender Helper to clay.  The special chemicals in Easy-Do Mender Helper will make clay pliable like plastic.  For every two ounces of clay, add one teaspoon of  Easy-Do Mender Helper and mix together.  Add more if needed, but if too much is added, let stand in the open air, and knead until workable.  Store in a plastic bag with a damp sponge.  It keeps indefinitely and improves with age.

Filling Cracks, Large Holes or Creating Missing Pieces

Add a small amount of Easy-Do Mender to clay and mix.  Wet the area with Easy-Do Mender Helper and roll the mixed clay into a ball.  Push the ball into the cracked area or hole and paint in more Easy-Do Mender.  Smooth the repaired area, let dry, and clean as with greenware or bisqueware.  REMEMBER all repairs need to be fired to clay maturity.

Porcelain & Stoneware

Porcelain can be mended!  This difficult task is made easier with Easy-Do Porcelain Mender (E-Z Blend) products.  Mix Easy-Do Porcelain Mender (pink liquid) with porcelain powder or a little porcelain slip.  (Use 1/4 Easy-Do Porcelain Mender to 3/4 slip).  If using porcelain powder, mix Easy-Do Porcelain Mender with powder until mixture is thick. NOTE:  This gives you a perfect color match.  This mixture can be saved indefinitely.  Wet both pieces to be mended with E-Z Blend (pink liquid) and the E-Z Blend has soaked in.  Apply your mixture to broken edges of wetted article and stick together and hold in place for at least 30 seconds.  Brace the mended area and let dry.  When completely dry, clean as for any porcelain, and fire the article.  Mended article MUST  always be fired.

Porcelain flowers

To every two ounces of porcelain clay, add one teaspoon of  Easy-Do Porcelain Mender and mix.  The clay is ready when it feels like plastic.  Create flowers and attach to your project by following directions for mending above.  This clay will keep indefinitely in a plastic bag with a wet sponge.
