HOW TO GET TO THE WASHINGTON COUNTY FAIR COMPLEX FROM…….

Downtown Portland:

Take Sunset Highway (U.S. 26 West) for 13 miles.

Take Exit 61, the Helvetia Road Exit.

Go left at the top of the exit ramp, crossing the highway.

Proceed straight on that road, going through the light at the intersection with

Evergreen Road.

Proceed South and turn right on Cornell Road.

Get in the left-hand lane and get ready to move into the left turn lane at the first

stop light you come to, at 34^th Avenue, just beyond Cavanaugh’s Hotel.

Turn right at the first driveway, which will take you into the Fair Complex’s main

parking lot.

From South of Portland (Tualatin, Wilsonville, Salem, etc.)

Take I-5 North to Highway 217 North—use exit #292, be in the right-hand lane.

Continue on Highway 217 until it ends, and you’ll need to be in the left-hand lane to get on Highway 26 West.

Take US Highway 26 West to Exit 61, the Helvetia Road Exit.

Go left at the top of the exit ramp, crossing the highway.

Proceed straight on that road, going through the light at the intersection with

Evergreen Road.

Proceed South and turn right on Cornell Road.

Get in the left-hand lane and get ready to move into the left turn lane at the first

stop light you come to, at 34^th Avenue, just beyond Cavanaugh’s Hotel.

Turn right at the first driveway, which will take you into the Fair Complex’s main

parking lot.

From North of Portland (N. Portland, Vancouver, Longview):

Take I-5 South into Portland

Take I-405 South (you’ll want to follow the signs referring to Beaverton)

Get onto U.S. Highway 26 West (Sunset Highway)

Take Sunset Highway (U.S. 26 West) for 13 miles.

Take Exit 61, the Helvetia Road Exit.

Go left at the top of the exit ramp, crossing the highway.

Proceed straight on that road, going through the light at the intersection with

Evergreen Road.

Proceed South and turn right on Cornell Road.

Get in the left-hand lane and get ready to move into the left turn lane at the first

stop light you come to, at 34^th Avenue, just beyond Cavanaugh’s Hotel.

Turn right at the first driveway, which will take you into the Fair Complex’s main

parking lot.

From East of Portland (Troutdale, Hood River, The Dalles):

Take I-84 West to Portland

Take I-5 North for only a short distance, (1/4 of a mile at the most)

Take I-405 South (you’ll want to follow the signs referring to Beaverton)

Get onto U.S. Highway 26 West (Sunset Highway)

Take Sunset Highway (U.S. 26 West) for 13 miles.

Take Exit 61, the Helvetia Road Exit.

Go left at the top of the exit ramp, crossing the highway.

Proceed straight on that road, going through the light at the intersection with

Evergreen Road.

Proceed South and turn right onto Cornell Road.

Get in the left-hand lane and get ready to move into the left turn lane at the first

stop light you come to, at 34^th Avenue, just beyond Cavanaugh’s Hotel.

Turn right at the first driveway, which will take you into the Fair Complex’s main

parking lot.

From West Beaverton/Aloha:

Take either US 26 West (Sunset Highway) or Highway 8 (T.V. Highway)

For T.V. Highway, continue west, and as you get into Hillsboro, T.V. Highway makes a big sweeping turn to the right, (at this point Shute Park and a big carving of an indian will be on the left.)

With this sweeping turn, T.V. Highway turns into 10^th Street.

Continue straight ahead on 10^th Street.

After you cross over the light-rail tracks, you’ll come to the Intersection of 10^th and Main.

Continue straight ahead, and as you do, at this point 10^th Street becomes Cornell Road.

Continue going straight on Cornell Road until you come upon the Hillsboro Airport on your left.

Be in the right-hand lane, and directly in front of the Airport is a stop light at 34^th Avenue.

Turn right at that light onto 34^th Avenue.

Turn right again at the first driveway and proceed into the Fair Complex main parking lot.

From Forest Grove:

Take Highway 8, (T.V. Highway) into Hillsboro.

When the road turns into 3 lanes, get into the middle lane and prepare to turn left onto 10^th Avenue at the final stop light.

Continue straight ahead on 10^th Street.

After you cross over the light-rail tracks, you’ll come to the Intersection of 10^th and Main.

Continue straight ahead, and as you do, at this point 10^th Street becomes Cornell Road.

Continue going straight on Cornell Road until you come upon the Hillsboro Airport on your left.

Be in the right-hand lane, and directly in front of the Airport is a stop light at 34^th Avenue.

Turn right at that light onto 34^th Avenue.

Turn right again at the first driveway and proceed into the Fair Complex main parking lot.

From the Coast (Seaside, Cannon Beach):

Take US 26 East (Sunset Highway)

Take the Helvetia Road Exit and go right onto Shute Road.

Proceed straight on that road, going through the light at the intersection with

Evergreen Road.

Proceed South and turn right on Cornell Road

Get in the left-hand lane and get ready to move into the left turn lane at the first

Stop light you come to, at 34^th Avenue, just beyond Cavanaugh’s Hotel.

Turn right at the first driveway, which will take you into the Fair Complex’s main

parking lot.
